Ahhhhh

My co-worker is leaving. She’s going to work for the family business; something she’d always planned to do with her life. Congrats for you! With that being said, there are p-l-e-n-t-y of hours available for working at my place. Apply away.

I’ve been very impressed with myself the past few days. I’ve managed to organize myself in such a way that I’m leaving the house at my targeted times without being in a tizzy. Sometimes (and you reader moms know what I mean), you try your best, but it just doesn’t happen. Sure, with a little extra pedal power, you arrive at your destination on time, but your heart is racing and your blood pressure’s up from the hurry. No need to hurry so. The past few weeks, for my Thursday shifts, Jono would drive to work, then come home early, and I’d head out. The point being that Jamayia was then able to take her afternoon nap uninterrupted. But it’s such a hassle for him to do all that back and forth too. So today, we did things the old way. He bussed to work, and I left home to pick him up, cutting nap time short. I actually left early and therefore got to work early too. It was such a pleasant change.

Now if only I could leave work in such a non-hurriedly and unfrazzle manner, things would be a slice!

I Wish She’d Warn Me Ahead of Time

So yesterday morning, I got called for a showing request for our home, in the late afternoon. Cools. I figured I’d vaccuum, put baby down for a nap (usually about 2 hrs), and finish cleaning up and getting dressed. I wouldn’t have time to eat & clean up, so we’ll skip that. I figured we’d be out of the house by about 3 pm–wayyyy before the showing at 4:30 pm. But the sooner I leave home, the less likely the Dear Girl is to mess it up again.

I was done in ample time, and starting MSNing it with my bro. And the time is slowly ticking away. Long enough that I could have actually created something gourmet and eaten it too! It got to the point that I had to go and wake her up! That was more of a four–yes 4– hour nap!

Had I known this ahead of time, I would’ve scheduled things differently. And of course, silly me went to visit my bro who did NOT feed me. We’ll have to work on that, because most times, he’s a good host…

Bonus side of the 4 hr nap–a very happy and good natured kid all afternoon!

Is It Wrong To Laugh At Your Baby??

LOL…yes, I’m laughing at her!

I’m sorry, I couldn’t help it. My Sweet Girl woke up after a lovely 3.5 hr (can you hear my happy fireworks going off???? **ahhhhh**) nap yesterday afternoon , and had the cutest case of flat-bed-head. It just made me crack up. She slept on her tummy, with her head turned to the left. So the right side of her afro was just smushed.

Now, if these two shots don’t make you laugh, then you’ve got problems!

LOL….LOL
