Assignment: Have you ever experienced a time when you felt you had to sacrifice your voice for the numbers? I think we all have. Today I want you to visit Lisa-Jo’s and write about whatever prompt she has, but when I go back and read it later, I want it to scream you! It shouldn’t blend in with the post before it and after it. Instead it should shout your name.
I’ve already done this on my other blog. I’ll link it and cut & paste is here too.

Loud.
It’s uncomfortable. It’s grating. It’s irritating.
It’s necessary.
Imagine a sports arena/stadium without the crowd’s roar. How fun would your favourite artist be in concert, without the right amount of sound pumping through the speakers? That moment, that private intimate moment between you and God. The one where you’re doing your praise dance and shouting His name? Or the other moment; equally intimate, but opposite emotion. When you’re so frustrated, upset and hurt, all you can do is yell at Him?
Yelling without being loud doesn’t have the same impact. God knew too that there were moments when He needed to be loud. When the Isrealites marched around Jericho, they did the first 6 days in complete silence. But on day 7, there was all sorts of noise, just before the walls came crashing down. When He needs to get our attention, God will do whatever He needs to. We miss the softer callings, a bit too often. The “pssts” are easy to overlook. A note here, a verse there. A phone call here. Next thing you know, there’s a loud clanging within our head and heart that we can’t turn off. All that commotion to tell us that because we’re loved so deeply and completely, and we’d be better off to not make a wrong choice right then.
May I always praise You and proclaim Your greatness loudly.
1 Praise the LORD!
Praise God in his sanctuary;
praise him in his mighty heaven!
2 Praise him for his mighty works;
praise his unequaled greatness!
3 Praise him with a blast of the ram’s horn;
praise him with the lyre and harp!
4 Praise him with the tambourine and dancing;
praise him with strings and flutes!
5 Praise him with a clash of cymbals;
praise him with loud clanging cymbals.
6 Let everything that breathes sing praises to the LORD!
Praise the LORD!Psalm 150, NLT
