Well, it’s been a mixed bag of things here. Let’s see…
Baby slept well last nite and we awoke after 9 am today :-). She was sitting on my lap as we were reading her Bible lesson together, and I felt something quite warm on my leg. Her butt wasn’t on fire, then I realized that my leg was wet. Yes…her diaper was that soaked, that it could hold no more pee!
After changing Baby, we went upstairs for our morning cereal. As I was moving my hot bowl of cream of wheat, topped with cinnamon toast crunch from one room to another, the baby stuck her hand in my bowl. Well, she did not enjoy the sensation of hot porridge. I rushed her to the cold water tap and ran her hand under it for a bit. Thank God I was able to stay calm. I’m not a panicker by nature, but still, it was my baby who was a bit hurt.
My first shift got cut in half to 2 hrs tonite. It went pretty good. It was nice to get out, by myself. Actually, it was downright bizarre to be out by myself. Most times, I travel with Baby, since she loves to mainly nurse still and lack of childcare at the right moments. I’m a super shy person, so I don’t really like to be on the spot. However, it’s time to step out, hence this job. It’ll be neat just interacting with different people and learning more about how a small business operates.
Hubby & Baby picked me up from work. And wouldn’t you know it–Baby fell asleep on the ride home. Which meant what? That’s right, a delayed bedtime. She originally went to bed at a decent time…but took a cat nap! LOL…Only my child, right?! After a few moments of weeping & gnashing of teeth, she went right back to sleep again. At least this means we get to sleep in tomorrow….
1 more day folks! It’s also almost December…
